The Working, Learning and Belonging Program provides social skills training to 12-25 school-aged children each semester (ages 5-9). The professional staff consists of a licensed child counselor and Masters level counseling intern, assisted by five university students. Children learn skills in group- belonging, conflict resolution and team-building. They learn leadership and civic engagement as they help younger children learn cooperative group games. They hone academic and expressive skills as they produce instructional materials and puppet plays for younger children on the topics of conflict resolution and group responsibility. Fridays, 5:30-8:00 p.m.. UH Miller Hall, Room 2.
